Atheists, explain why theft is immoral?

because in a primitive sense stealing could get you killed, now in modern society that is obviously not the case but consider more primitive stages of life and you end up guarding what you own with brute force...thus stealing can get you killed so is not evolutionary beneficial as when your dead you cannot reproduce. simples
