Why do mexicans buy designer clothes?

For those with a similar question, like the one above, its easy to answer. Most of the Mexicans from Mexico City, Puebla, Monterrey, Toluca, San Luis Potosi, and Yucatan are very wealthy people. Most of then have PhD is Business, or International Trade/ Business. A big portion of them work for oil companies. Because of this, families tend to travel in their private jets, or public airplanes to big cities in the US like Houston, Scottsdale, Miami, Chicago or New York for they usually spend about 4 to 5 days. While there, they do their clothing shopping which consist of Only Designer names, such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Armani, Gucci, Carolina Herrera (very popular among mexicans) , Salvatore Ferragamo and Michael Kors. Alot of them love to shop at Saks Fifth , and Neiman Marcus. A regular Mexican can spend about 5 to $7,000 in one day alone, which is great for Sales Associate at those high end stores, (since they work on commission) This is the reason why big prestigious malls love Mexican clientel, and many require Bilingual experience to work in boutiques. If you are a sales associate , avoid telling a mexican client to look at the sales items, they might get offended , they tend to shop full-price tag only. If you ever get a chance to go to Mexico City you'll notice that Ave. Presidente Masaryk in Polanco, its very similar to 5th Avenue in New York and Santa Fe , is similar to Beverly Hills. about 90% of students in Mexico City speak English this is mainly due because of the schools system in that state. In fact Mexico City has International Schools and many of them can speak 3 to 4 languages. So the answer for the question really is, because Fashion is a big part of their culture in Mexico. Contrary to what other people say about mexicans, if you ever come to a High end Mall , such as Bal Harbour, Galleria, Forum Shops, Crystals, King Of Persia, Scottsdale Fashion Square, or South Coast Plaza, don't be surprise if you see a mexican with luggage around the mall, this is typical, as they prepare to return to Mexico replete of new designer clothes as they welcome the new season in fashion , oh and don't forget, the hispanics/ spanish labes, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Narciso Rodriguez, Angel Sanchez, Custo Barcelona, Loewe, and La Perla. One last thing. a big portion of Saks is own by a mexican. So if you're Mexican, sientete orgulloso, porque a nosotros los mexicanos , tambien nos gusta la vida buena! Y MUY BUENA!!
