During the one month holiday, i sleep around 3 to 4 am everyday and wake up at like 1pm and i got pretty used to that. Getting used to running on trails rather than concrete/road running?

Also adding to your other awnser, shorten your stride while running on trails. Running the hills might be the biggest change, you said you mostly ran flat roads. The hills and trails will strengthen your legs and are speed work in disguise. Slow your pace till you get accustomed to the change. HCG levels and ultrasound....WORRIED?

I took a home pregnancy test two weeks ago and it was positive. About a week later, I was having some bad cramping and went to the ER. They did blood work and an ultrasound. They said my pregnancy test was positive, however, my HCG levels were only at 1880 and they couldn't see anything on the ultrasound....no sac, yolk or fetal pole. I had another blood test 4 days later and my levels were up to 6600. They still wanted me to go in for another ultrasound, because they were worried about possible miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. I am currently waiting for those results. I feel pretty sick, having lots of cramping but no blood. I feel weak and exhausted and I just want to know what is going on. They said it is possible for me to be really early, but that would have meant that i got a positive pregnancy test at 2 weeks pregnant and started feeling sick that early, which isn't common. Should I quit my internship?

I’m currently and intern for a small Web design company/ Social marketing firm I have just completed my first week at the company and I have to complete more than 120 hours to get credit from my college. The problem is that I’m not really learning anything and I feel more like a secretary than an intern my program is Business management but I have not done anything this week that has given me experience to learn how a business is run. The owner of this business recently went on vacation to Cancun so we only communicate by email. While’s he’s on vacation he want me to run errands to other business to pick up credit card information. Like I have said I’m more like his personal secretary than an intern. By the way this is an unpaid internship and he requires me to put in at least 30 hours a week at his company. To the people with anger issues: how do you cope with it?

So, I have anxiety and anger issues. i was able to control my anger while i was in anger management. whenever someone or something would upset me, i would simply ignore it and forget about it. but now i have gotten violent again. i throw and slam things, break doors, scream at people, and get physically violent. when someone gets me angry and i react in one of those violent ways, i just feel realllyyyyy weak and exhausted afterwards. i am out of breath, and i breath as if i finished a 2 mile jog. i practically collapse to the ground, and i can barely even move. my mind just feels like it shut off, and my heart hurts...sometimes i thought i had a heart attack! this weakness takes me a long time to get over- maybe a couple days to a week. and then while i am still recovering, i just dont even have the strength to get angry, because it takes up so much energy and makes me completely weak. yeah...idk what to say, i got issues, and im not good at coping with them. have any of you felt like this? and how did it make you feel better? please dont just say go to a psychiatrist...

Convulsions/seizures related to anxiety?

Hi, have history of massive panic attacks and minor anxiety attacks. Dealt with both over the years with exercise and no stupid prescribed drugs. I am now an expert on stopping these attacks, until recently. Last two times I was very worried about something I ended up in convulsions.. (first time uncontrollable stomach seizures that controlled my body and uncontrollable tearing in my eyes for 4-6 hours.)... Last night, I was worried about something and I had the exact same thing happen but my son kept telling me to concentrate on breathing... It went away after 4-5 minutes and the second ." I one only lasted a few seconds. As my adult as son explains it "You are convulsating!" (I told him to stop calling 911). Shorty after he told me that, I began to feel the horrible feelings of BOTH panic and anxiety attack together at once (there is a huge difference). I guess my question is can anxiety really cause seizures/convulsions? After these attacks, I was so exhausted. I felt like someone put a needle in me and took out everything I had....Any suggestions appreciated (except going on some stupid pills)? PS Each time before a convulsion, I am either laying down or sleeping. Each time my dog is in front of my face breathing my breath ( I've had her 11 years now, she has never done this until these episodes happen).

I understand that over time free radicals destroy cells and corrupt DNA. From an evolutionary perspective though, wouldn't an immortal organism be able to produce far more offspring than a mortal one? I know that as we grow older our bodies begin to fail, but if we can generate those destroyed tissues, why don't we? Have you been referred to a sleep specialist? I have heard of people with extreme insomnia "re-training" their sleeping patterns by staying in their room between 11pm and 6am and sleeping (if possible) then staying out of their rooms any other time. Another thing you could do is think about your sleeping environment. I know it sounds silly, but maybe re-arranging the furniture in your room, or re-painting or redecorating it as you may have formed a negative association unconsciously with your surroundings. Do you find it easier sleeping in other places? I don't think sedatives would help you long term as it doesn't sound like a simple problem that can be treated with short-term solutions. I don't think any over the counter things would help either, in the UK you can only get sedating antihistamines which are only supposed to be for short term use anyway. You can buy some herbal things which contain ingredients such as Valerian which you could have a try, but make sure you have a chat with your doctor or pharmacist first to check they are suitable. But it really sounds like you need specialist help, especially as you've had the problem for so long and from such a young age. Hope this helps

Why do I never feel good?

I seriously never feel good. I have headaches almost everyday, at least every other day. Whenever I get 8+ hours sleep or even 6+, I feel awful. But if I get 2 or 4 I feel fine and dandy. I'm sixteen, almost seventeen if my age matters. I was depressed a lot and I get those feelings back a lot.. I'm a lot happier now than I was though. I have problems with weight and such, not losing it but with like eating disorder issues - to narrow it down. I used to self-injure. I can't fall asleep at night a lot. If I fall asleep early or even at 10ish I'll wake up at 2 or 3 or something and can't fall asleep again. But yet I'm constantly tired. But sometimes it's not a sleepy tired I guess.. Like I'm just mentally tired 24/7 because my mind goes crazy all the time, but when I get the normal amount of sleep for my age I'm exhausted and I feel horrible and such.

Why are my teeth so stained?!?

Okay, so this saturday i'm going out with a guy and need to get my teeth super white. Most of the time during summer i'm rushing to get in bed cause i'm exhausted so i just wash my face with acne cleanser and brush my teeth with a Reach toothbrush (forgot the brand, sorry). Throughout the school year i would use Listerine Whitening (the before rinse) and my teeth would come out really white. So now, where i'm going out saturday, i've been giving my teeth at least a good 12 minutes before jumping into and right after i get out of bed. I use Listerine Whitening Rinse, brush my teeth with my Reach brush (that also has whitening) and use Crest Extra Whitening toothpaste, and then use Crest Whitening Rinse (for the after) and it still doesn't come out white (and i've been keeping this up for a week, so i should've already seen some improvement. That's the way it always is during the school year)! I never drink coffee and the only type of soda i usually drink is Mountain Dew. I've also been drinking a lot of lemonade lately, could that be a problem? How can i get them white again? Thanks xoxo

Toddler refuses to sleep or nap?

My daughter is 23 months and the past 2 weeks she has refused to nap or go to sleep at her regular time. She used to nap from 12:30-1:30/2 and go down for the night at 7:30 pm and sleep until 7:30 am, and now I will put her in her room to nap and she just stays awake, I usually only leave her an hour (she just plays quietly, doesn't cry) I have tried putting her down later for her naps and that doesn't help either, but she is just so miserable in the afternoon, by 3-4 pm she is extremely grumpy, but won't even sleep then, it makes it hard to get out and do anything as she just cries and is very fussy, I will put her down at 7:30 pm and she stays awake until 10 pm!!! I am 8 months pregnant currently and exhausted, I am not sure why the sudden change in her routine? I haven't changed anything and she isn't sick. The mornings are fine, she is completely happy, I find the afternoons tough as she I can't take her anywhere since she is constantly throwing fits over the smallest things (which she usually isn't like unless she is tired) Anyone have any tips? I am feeling so exhausted dealing with this and am unsure what to do, is it just a phase? I just find I don't get a moment to breathe anymore (when she is in her room for the hour, I shower, clean what I can) Any tips or advice are appreciated! Thanks

Anemia... why have i got it when i eat very healthy ?

ok.. years ago i was told i have pernicuous anemia and i have the B12 injections every 3 months - this week i have been told i now have a different type of anemia as well and ive been prescribed ferrous frumerate tablets 3 times a day. Rust, heat , time all add up, and one bolt may already be broken, and could be the cause of the leak. A muffler shop does this for a living, and thats the best place to go for an estimate.

However I just started thinking that my translation leaves out the "do". i then started thinking that perhaps a more proper way of saying it would be "haces tu sabes porque?'. Recovering from chemo and radiation?

I didn't have same cancer, but had 7 1/2 months of chemo and 6 weeks radiation with chemo. My chemo ended june 09 and I still have chemo brain. I don't think I'll ever go back to normal. I can't concentrate long enough to watch a tv show, remember appts, keep up with notes I wrote to myself so I won't forget things, etc. I can't read newpapers, books, magazines. I can however, read an entire book on the computer and my kindle is my new best friend. Forget puzzles and stuff like that... So anyway, everyone's different and I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't lose hair from chemo, but your brows and lashes will grow back quickly. I lost some hair and lashes on one side from the radiation, but since the surgery, my hair hasn't grown back in that spot.
